How to correctly size up a louvered grille
To take a measurement of a louvered grille remove it from it's position, turn it upside down and take the measurement for the length and width of the louvered part only.
It is a standard industry measurement to be taken in inches. For example the most popular size of Floor Diffuser is a 12" x 2". There are plenty more sizes available to suit your ducting requirements.
The louvered part of this type of grille has been designed to fit snuggly into the ducting coming into the room. This particular type is called a 'floor diffuser' others available are: 'ceiling diffuser' and 'wall register'.
